Dr. Michelle Toms-Greene

Dr. Michelle is a native of Rutherford County and grew up in the Sunshine Community. She graduated from Sunshine Elementary School in 1981 and East Rutherford High School, where she was valedictorian of her senior class, in 1985. Dr. Michelle’s college education was at North Carolina State University where she received a B.S. in Zoology in 1989 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993. After graduation, Dr. Michelle worked at Cox Animal Hospital in Forest City with Dr. Lanny Walker for several years before purchasing Rutherford Veterinary Hospital in 1996 from Dr. V.O. Cline upon his retirement.

Dr. Michelle is married to Tim Greene and has two step children and 6 grandchildren. They live on a farm and have Paso Fino horses, cows, chickens, 4 dogs and 5 cats. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking in the woods, boating and nature photography.
